Mega-Lights in Wankdorf Stadium
ST-Vitrinen delivered 35 Mega Light Housings of various sizes as part of the total refurbishing of the stadium in which the "Miracle of Bern" took place, the World Cup of 1954 when Germany shocked the soccer world by winning the championship.
Of particular interest with the contract was the fact that, aside from the extreme measurements of the stadium itself, each individual product had its own unique measurements and needed to satisfy rigid requirements. This often meant installing the products in meter-long wall cavities, the combination of a monitoring systems in the displays, or satisfying increased safety standards
The stadium has already been reopened in the meantime and has also been renamed. Its official name today is "Stade de Suisse".
